LIBERIA: LMC Executive Director Wins GNN ‘Media Advocacy – 2011 Award'

Due to his undivided attention to the enhancement and improvement and also robustly helping to build the working capacity of the Liberian media, the Executive Director of the Liberia Media Center (LMC), Lawrence Randall, has won the Global News Network (GNN) 2011 Media Advocacy Award.
Mr. Randall whose interest to improving the professional skills of the Liberian media over the years won the award following intensive two weeks brainstorming by a six-man Committee as to who deserve the award.
Many of the committee members voted him to the title due to his numerous contributions to the wellbeing of Liberian journalists and their respective institutions, especially during the just ended 2011 general and presidential elections where his institution, the LMC provided working tools to journalists to enable them professionally perform their reportorial duties during the process.
His institution, the LMC with a modern internet setup is currently being used as resource center for journalists throughout the country.
