... Presents A Gift for Hardwork
Monrovia (LMC/PR) -13 Dec '11:

A Liberian business woman has praised the Liberia Media Center (LMC) for its empowerment of media institutions and also local enterpreneurs in the country.

Ms. Johnetta Geeco Mulbah, proprietor of the G-Co bar & Restaurant said the LMC has transformed the media landscape and has restored credibility to the Liberia Media community.

The young Liberian business woman made the remarks when she donated a framed photo to the Liberia Media Center in appreciation for the work of the Center.

Ms. Mulbah said she was gratified that the G-Co Bar & Restaurant has also benefited immensely from the patronage of the LMC.

She noted that the LMC was not only concerned with empowering journalists or media institutions, but was also empowering businesses whose services the Media Center employs to procure equipment and cater to its workshops and seminars.

In appreciation of this friendly business partnership, she presented the gift for interior decoration at the LMC Headquarters. During training of journalists under its INFORMOTRAC, JHR, Election Monitoring programs, the LMC has always patronized local businesses, especially restaurants, for catering services.

Receiving the presentation, the Executive Director of the LMC, Mr. Lawrence Randall extolled Ms. Geeco for her gesture of appreciation for the work of LMC, and promised that the media development entity will do more in empowering Liberian entities in delivering on its objectives and goals.

The Liberia Media Center is a media empowerment entity engaged in training and equipping media outlets, including community radio stations across the country.
