Misheck Esau (Malawian) is a seasoned banking and finance executive and financial advisory consultant with more than 27 years’ experience in the field most of which spent at senior leadership levels. Misheck acquired his extensive experience after serving in the capacities of Central Bank Prudential Examiner, Head of Bank Treasury, Business Development and Marketing, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director both in Malawi and West Africa. The corporations Misheck has served include the Reserve Bank of Malawi (Malawi’s Central Bank), Nedbank Malawi, Continental Discount House Malawi (a licensed financial institution) and CDH Investment Bank Malawi (CDHIB) respectively between 1994 and 2020. Misheck is a chartered global management accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA- UK) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) since 2001. Misheck’s professional long experience covers accounting, bank prudential supervision, treasury management, bank management, structured trade finance, product development, sales, project finance and management, investment management, risk management, compliance, planning, corporate reporting and governance as well as executive management. Currently, Misheck’s passion and active involvement are in the area of development finance and financial advisory particularly focused on improving the economic prospects of developing countries.
